Phyang Festival (Ladakh)
Phyang Festival (Ladakh) - 13 nights
13/30 July 2014
A 13 night group adventure from Delhi in the plains of north India through Manali and over the Himalayas via the Rohtang pass. This is a journey of spectacular landscapes, glaciated valleys, crisp cold shimmering rivers, budhist monasteries and remote villages. The roads in this part of the world only allow access in the 2-3 months of summer. The Phyang Festival occurs in July every year. The normally serene Buddhists monks from the Phyang monastery don bright and rich brocaded robes and masks representing the various Gods and dance like there is no tomorrow. Don’t forget to pack your camera and a good jacket.
Extension to Srinagar (Kashmir) is available with this tour.
