This tour can be done in 2 ways - depending on the season.

Days 1-2: You will be met on arrival at the International Airport (Katunayake)and transferred to your Colombo hotel. Check-in in is after 12 noon. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the capital city and delve into his colonial past. Galle Face Hotel - Regency Wing
Days 3-4: Travel to Dambulla stopping for lunch (own cost) at Pinnawela to watch the elephants from the orphanage bathe in the river. Visit the oprphanage and t the ancient rock cave temples. Choose between a Sigiriya Fortress climb or exploring the ruins of Pollonuruwa - Sri Lankas 11 century capital. Amaya Lake Hotel
Days 5-6: Travel to Kandy – the cultural capital and seat of Buddhism in Sri Lanka – visiting a Spice Garden for lunch on the way (own cost). Visit the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic and the Peredenia Gardens. Enjoy the Kandyan drummers and dancers and fire walkers at a cultural dance evening. Amaya Hills Hotel
Days 7-8: Take a train ride to the hills of Nuwara Eliya dotted with tea plantations, verdant jungle and sparkling waterfalls. Enjoy the crisp mountain air and learn how tea is made at a tea factory. Visit the famous Hortons Plains National Park for some trekking and wonderful views at World's End. Grand Hotel
Days 9-10: Take the scenic route via Ella to the Yala National Park. Enjoy 2 safaris. Fingers crossed for a leopard sighting however there is a variety of wildlife on offer to keep us happy should you miss the spotted one. The Safari (Tissa)
Days 11-12: travel to the historic coastal town of Galle. We explore this fort city before proceeding to Hikkaduwa and enjoying 2 nights on the beach. Chaaya Tranz.
Day 13: Departure – transfer to the airport for your flight out of Sri Lanka

This tour runs on the same lines as the former tour. We have swapped 2 nights at Hikkaduwa for 2 nights in Trincomalee (Chaaya Blu) to make the best of the dried conditions and perfect weather in the north-eEast at this time. Due to the slightly altered route your first night is at the Airport hotel with one night at the end in Colombo. Hotels are the same as the tour option above.
