Change in Tobacco duty free limits

Change in Tobacco duty free limits is in the offing.

Until 31st August, 2012- If you are 18 or above, you are allowed to bring upto 250 cigarettes or 250 grams of cigars or tobacco products to Australia duty free. All tobacco products in accompanied baggage are included in this category, regardless of where or how they were purchased.

From 1 September 2012- If you are 18 or above, you are allowed to bring upto 50 cigarettes or 50 grams of cigars or tobacco products duty free to Australia. All tobacco products in accompanied baggage are included in this category, regardless of where or how they were purchased.
